In addition, we offer our Premier Residence policy, Merchants' most comprehensive home owners’ coverage. Our Premier Residence policy broadens your property and liability coverage, and many of the optional coverages listed below are automatically included with Premier Residence.

Specified Additional or Additional Amounts of Insurance Coverage

These optional coverages provide extra "peace of mind." When a covered loss occurs, your policy could provide 25%, 50% or more coverage depending on which option you select. You can then rebuild your home exactly as it was before the loss, a true "Home Owners’ Advantage!" (Available options may vary by state.)

Personal Property Replacement Cost

This valuable coverage compensates you for the amount necessary to replace damaged or stolen belongings with new items of comparable quality. And we will not deduct for depreciation due to the age or condition of your property.

Identity Recovery

This important coverage provides protection for expenses and identity recovery services you incur as a result of the fraudulent use of your identity by a third party. It is typically very difficult for individuals to work with or even reach the correct person in credit bureaus, creditors and financial institutions. Our case manager will guide you through the steps in the process to correct your credit history and identity records.

Home Advantage

Home Advantage coverage provides equipment breakdown insurance to cover equipment attached to and made a part of your home or other structure when perils for such equipment would have been excluded under the standard home owners’ policy. It helps fill the gap left by home owners’ policies and home and extended warranties - for only pennies a day.

Water Back-Up and Sump Overflow Coverage

Sewer back-up losses can be unpredictable. Merchants' economical Water Back-Up and Sump Overflow Coverage options provide valuable protection in the event of loss due to water that has backed up through a sewer or drain, or has overflowed from a sump. Several limits are available.

Special Computer Coverage

Just about everyone owns a computer these days, yet the basic home owners’ policy provides only limited coverage for computer items. This valuable Special Computer Coverage broadens your policy where computers and related equipment, data and software are covered. Whether you're concerned about important databases -- or the latest fast-action computer game -- you're covered!

ACE - Additional Coverage Endorsement

Our ACE endorsement significantly increases the amount of property coverage on your standard home owners’ or condominium owners’ policies. (For policies written with Merchants Preferred Insurance Company, ACE is included at no additional charge!)

Optional liability and physical damage coverage for your watercraft and trailer is available with our standard home owners’ or condominium owners’ policies.
