Merchants Insurance Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Lasante, Regional Underwriting Manager, to Regional Vice President of Merchants’ New England Regional Office (Bedford, NH), effective June 7, 2021.
He will assume the Regional Vice President position from Scott Behrent, who was recently promoted to Merchants’ Vice President of National Distribution.
Mr. Lasante began work with Merchants in June 2010 as a Territory Manager. He was then promoted to Senior Territory Manager, Regional Underwriting Supervisor and then to his most recent role as Regional Underwriting Manager.
In his new position as Regional Vice President, Mr. Lasante is responsible for regional operations such as underwriting, claims, sales and agency management to ensure the company reaches profit and premium goals. He is also responsible for management of the regional office.
The New England Regional Office is responsible for the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Mr. Lasante holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from The University of Maine at Farmington. He and his family are residents of Bedford, NH.
