Corporate Colleague Outing at Resurgence
Every summer, Merchants’ corporate headquarters hosts a variety of Colleague Appreciation events, with the season wrapping up in September at the company’s biggest celebration of the year: the Colleague Outing. Featuring dinner and entertainment at a Buffalo-area venue, this annual tradition gives colleagues the chance to celebrate their hard work, connect outside the office, and head into the final quarter of the year with renewed energy.
This year’s event brought colleagues together to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, beverages of their choice, a slideshow of Merchants highlights from the past year, and of course, each other’s company. Dinner included a buffet with salad, seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes, slow braised beef, salmon with dill sauce, and Tuscan chicken bruschetta (vegetarian and vegan colleagues enjoyed a stuffed pepper entree with quinoa and vegetables!).
Charles E. Makey, III, President and Chief Executive Officer of Merchants Insurance Group, expressed his gratitude to colleagues for their hard work and contributions to the company’s success. He added an extra layer of excitement and celebration to the outing by raffling off a variety of prizes, such as Merchants-dise, tickets to The Outsiders at Shea’s, and Sabres tickets!
