John Bodensteiner, Merchants Insurance Group’s AVP of Strategic Planning and Director of the PMO, Achieves Project Management Certification

John Bodensteiner, Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Strategic Planning and Director of Merchants Insurance Group’s Project Management Office (PMO), recently passed the Project Management Professional (PMP) examination, earning him the PMP certification, the most widely recognized credential related to project management.

Mr. Bodensteiner has been with Merchants since 1980, beginning as a claims representative, and working for fifteen years in the Investments Department. In 2000 he was promoted to his current position as AVP of Strategic Planning, and in 2009 was appointed Director of the newly-formed Project Management Office. In addition to overseeing the planning and project areas, John leads the Enterprise Risk Management process, and performs analysis in support of the areas of reinsurance, profitability and capital adequacy. John is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
