As part of Merchants Insurance Group’s recent 100th anniversary celebration, $24,500 from the company was contributed to various charities.

The initiative allowed Colleagues to pick a charity of their choice, with the company donating $100 for each of the employees.

Organizations receiving donations included Niagara Hospice, the SPCA of Buffalo and Erie County, New Hampshire SPCA, Save the Michaels of the World, Island Harvest Food Bank of Long Island, The Teacher’s Desk, Salvation Army, Disabled American Veterans, and many others.

Colleagues from the company’s corporate headquarters in Buffalo and four regional offices were allowed to select an approved charity of their choice and the company sent $100 for the employee to the charity.
