Sara Hanavan Named Director, Product Management at Merchants Insurance Group

Sara Hanavan, Director Product Management, headshotMerchants Insurance Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Sara Hanavan to Director, Product Management.

Ms. Hanavan began working at Merchants Insurance Group in 1995. Over the last twenty-six years, she has held numerous roles within underwriting and product management, most recently as our Sr. Commercial Lines Product Manager, handling all commercial lines and commercial product management activities.

In addition to commercial lines product management, in her new role Ms. Hanavan will also assume oversight responsibility for personal lines product management and personal lines underwriting.

Ms. Hanavan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership, both from Medaille College in Buffalo, N.Y.

Ms. Hanavan lives in North Buffalo, N.Y., a block away from her childhood home! She loves boating, and in the warmer months she and her husband spend much of their free time enjoying being out on the water.
