United Way Day of Caring 2024

Volunteers at the Erie County Department of Health
On June 18, 2024, Merchants corporate colleagues joined volunteers from all over the Western New York region to participate in United Way’s annual Day of Caring! Day of Caring is a single-day volunteer event that encourages companies to participate in local community service projects. This year’s event had over 2,000 participants helping with 100+ projects around Western New York!
28 colleagues from Merchants assisted with two community projects:
- At the Erie County Department of Health, located in Getzville, New York, colleagues joined other local volunteers to assemble 5,000 blizzard kits for neighbors in need.
- At Catholic Charities’ Russell J. Salvatore Food Pantry location in Lackawanna, colleagues painted the Lactation Room and Women, Infants & Children (WIC) space.
