The Colleagues of Merchants Insurance Group bravely dedicated their time in the chilly waters of a “dunk tank” to raise funds for this year’s United Way Appeal early afternoon on Friday, October 6.
Executives and colleagues of the company volunteered their time waiting to be dunked while fellow employees paid varying amounts for a chance to throw softballs to knock “victims” in the water. The “dunk tank” raised $1,315.00 and the hot dog lunch raised $393.00, just with this day’s activities. The company’s fundraising for the United Way is on-going and will conclude on November 22. So far, between pledges and events, the employees have raised $65,252.34, without the company match, and there’s still plenty of time to go!
A big thank you to our “dunkees”: Shad McKnight, Ken Dobinski, Bruce Oliver, Chris Brown, and Randy Reese.
