Merchants Appoints Doug Zeyak as Vice President – Product Development & Programs Officer
Merchants Insurance Group, a Super Regional Property Casualty company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Zeyak as its new Vice President – Product Development & Programs Officer. In this role, Zeyak will spearhead the company’s product innovation strategies, overseeing the development and launch of cutting-edge solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
Zeyak brings over 20 years of experience in product development and management, having successfully led teams and projects at previous Property Casualty companies. His expertise in working in an agile development, user experience design, and his comprehensive knowledge of the market aligns perfectly with Merchants’ commitment to delivering high-quality, market-driven products to agents and policyholders.

Mr. Zeyak earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and began his insurance career in underwriting in 2002. He currently resides in Queensbury, New York, with his wife and three young children. He enjoys boating on Lake George and camping (more often, “glamping,” or “glamorous camping,” he says!) with his family.
