Merchants Insurance Group Names New Regional Underwriting Manager

Merchants Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Mark Thompson has joined the company as Regional Underwriting
Manager for the company’s Western Regional Office in Buffalo.

Mr. Thompson is responsible for the profit and growth of commercial insurance in Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan, the region which encompasses the company’s Western Regional Office.

He has more than 27 years of claims and underwriting experience, most recently serving with a national carrier as a regional underwriting manager.

Mr. Thompson, a resident of Lancaster, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Buffalo State College.
