Merchants Named Among Fastest Growing Companies in Western New York
For a seventh consecutive year, Merchants Insurance Group has been recognized by Buffalo Business First on its “Fast Track” list, which identifies the fastest-growing companies in the Western New York region.
The 2025 “Fast Track” list highlights companies with the strongest revenue growth over a three-year period. Based on data from 2022 through 2024, Merchants ranked 29 out of 33 companies, with 9.78% revenue growth.

Makey III, President and Chief Executive Officer of Merchants Insurance Group. “Seven consecutive years on this list speaks to our consistent performance, resilience through industry cycles, and the dedication of our colleagues to supporting our agent partners and policyholders.”
Buffalo Business First invited leaders from all “Fast Track” companies to celebrate at a reception on Wednesday, August 27th at The Show at Shea’s Seneca.
