Merchants Participates in Annual ‘e-Scrap for Camp’ Event to Benefit Camp Good Days

Merchants Insurance Group gathered and recycled 2,783 pounds of electronics for Sunnking’s annual e-Scrap for Camp event, contributing to this year’s program total donation of $9,875.01 to Camp Good Days & Special Times!

Through e-Scrap for Camp, Sunnking, an environmentally-friendly electronics recycling company, encourages local businesses to recycle old or unused electronics during a two-week period. Sunnking then donates all funds raised throughout this initiative to Camp Good Days, a not-for-profit organization providing summer camps, adult retreats, and other activities for children, adults, and families affected by cancer.

2023 marked the 13th e-Scrap for Camp event, according to Sunnking. Since 2010, e-Scrap for Camp has resulted in 6.5 million pounds of electronics recycled through Sunnking, contributing over $150,000 to Camp Good Days!

Jason Gallo, Enterprise Technology Services & Security Manager, coordinates Merchants’ annual participation in this event.
