Merchants Insurance Group has promoted Sam LaDuca to Vice President, Product Management and Actuarial.

In this role, Mr. LaDuca, FCAS, MAAA, CPCU, will aid in accelerating the company’s development in product management, product analytics, rating plan sophistication and predictive modeling.

He has led the actuarial department at Merchants for more than sixteen years, and in that time has been a significant contributor to the company’s movement into predictive modeling, advanced analytics and product management.

Mr. LaDuca has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and actuarial field, and has been with Merchants since 1997.

A graduate of Canisius College with a degree in Mathematics, he is actively involved with the Buffalo Chapter of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU).

He and his family reside in Clarence.
