Merchants Insurance Group is pleased to announce that Michael Alessandra, Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit, has been awarded the professional insurance designation Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) by The Institutes, an educational organization that confers the CPCU designation on persons who complete eight rigorous courses and examinations and meet its ethics and experience requirements.
All CPCUs are required to maintain and to improve their professional knowledge, skills and competence through their commitment to The Institutes’ CPCU Code of Professional Conduct.
Mr. Alessandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
In addition, Mr. Alessanda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He also holds the Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) insurance designation.
Mr. Alessandra and his family are residents of Clarence Center.
