The generosity of our colleagues for the holidays is wonderful!

A big thank you to all of our Colleagues for their thoughtful spirit to make this season brighter for those in need!

The following groups were recipients of donations:

Corporate/Western: Valley Community Center of Buffalo

Merchants’ CIA Committee organized the holiday donation drive through the United Way’s Holiday Adopt-a-Family program for the Valley Community Center. Donations were gathered in the Buffalo office from December 7th through the 18th. In addition to a mountain of toys and gift cards for the children of 25 families in need, we were also able to “adopt” an entire family.

New England Regional Office: Salvation Army

Our NERO Colleagues made the holidays special through the Salvation Army’s “Adopt-a-Family” program. The office successfully coordinated a monetary donation for two families, each with four children.

Eastern Strategic Business Center: Jocelyn’s Operation 2020, Long Island Cares Food Drive

Our Colleagues in Eastern conducted a gift card collection. The parents of children from the Hempstead School District, as well as homeless and shelter children from the Uniondale School District, were given the gift cards collected so the families could purchase food, toys and so on. The CMS Agency was a partner with the office, and dropped the cards off with the teachers to handout.

The office also conducted a virtual food drive for Long Island Cares. The office collected food or monetary donations where colleagues could leave their donations at their mailbox for pick up or they could mail a check. The office collected more than 200lbs of food.

Midlantic Regional Office: Operation Christmas Child

Our Colleagues in Midlantic participated in “Operation Christmas Child”, a program that offers shoebox size gifts to needy children. These shoeboxes are shipped all over the world, mostly at Christmas time, but are also used during times of natural disaster, so children in the U.S. get them, too. The shoeboxes are filled with both needed items, such as clothing, books, toiletries, etc., and fun items like toys! Donors are then able to track the boxes to see where their donations are shipped.

We are overwhelmed by the generous and caring nature of our Colleagues, particularly in such a difficult year!
