United Way Day of Caring 2025
On June 25, 2025, Merchants corporate colleagues joined volunteers from all over the Western New York region to participate in United Way of Buffalo and Erie County’s annual Day of Caring! Day of Caring is a single-day volunteer event that encourages companies to support various local organizations through community service projects.
This year, 26 Merchants colleagues participated. Merchants volunteers assisted with community projects at Concordia Cemetery, a historic, volunteer-run cemetery, and Compass House, an emergency shelter and resource center for youth in need.
Concordia Cemetery
At Concordia Cemetery, Merchants colleagues helped maintain cemetery grounds by gardening, trimming, landscaping, and straightening veterans’ markers.
