Merchants Insurance Group has promoted Sam LaDuca to Executive Vice President – Underwriting, Product Development, Actuarial, and Programs.

Mr. LaDuca joined the company in 1997, and has held several officer level positions including Assistant Vice President – Chief Actuary; Vice President – Finance & Actuarial; Vice President – Product & Actuarial, and most recently Senior Vice President – Underwriting, Product, & Actuarial.

Mr. LaDuca is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS), a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA) and also holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) insurance designation. He is a graduate of Canisius College with a degree in mathematics.

He is a resident of the Buffalo suburbs and has served on CPCU and CAS boards and committees, and has been an active volunteer as a coach for youth baseball and basketball.
