NAMIC Mutual Insurance Professional Certification Awarded to Merchants Insurance Group President & CEO Charles Makey

On Monday, September 28, 2026, Merchants President and CEO Charles Makey was awarded the Mutual Insurance Professional (MIP) Certification by the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) during NAMIC’s 131st Annual Convention in Denver, Colorado.

The convention, which took place September 27-30, is a highly anticipated event each year for mutual insurance executives, industry leaders and risk management partners to engage in education and knowledge sharing, as well as fellowship and networking.

The Mutual Insurance Professional Certification was presented to Charles Makey at the convention’s invite-only NAMIC Certification Award Ceremony Luncheon.
