Merchants Corporate Colleagues Enjoy Social at Other Half Brewing
On Thursday, August 1, 2024, Merchants Insurance Group welcomed corporate colleagues to Other Half Brewing, located in downtown Buffalo, New York, for the company’s annual Colleague Social!
Building Connections
At the Colleague Social, corporate colleagues have the opportunity to socialize outside of the office with coworkers, new colleagues, and senior leadership. 160 colleagues attended this year’s event!
Colleague Appreciation
The Colleague Social is one of several events in Merchants’ annual Colleague Appreciation event series. These events bring our colleagues together to strengthen our bonds, meet new people, and celebrate our successes and all the reasons that Merchants is one of the Best Places to Work!
Food and Drinks
Each colleague received two drink tickets to enjoy beverages of their choice from Other Half Brewing’s selection, and Merchants provided dinner: pizza and wings from Bella Pizza!
Raffle Prizes
Merchants loves raffles! At many of our events throughout the year, colleagues in attendance have the chance to win raffle prizes. Colleagues at the Colleague Social were entered into drawings for NFL and NHL tickets and company merchandise (or, as we like to call it, MERCHANTS-Dise!).

Next Up: Colleague Outing in September
The next event in the Colleague Appreciation series is the largest of the year: the Colleague Outing in September. Last year, corporate colleagues enjoyed an evening of dinner and team bonding at the Barrel Factory in Buffalo’s Old First Ward. The evening’s entertainment featured a mobile golf simulator, music provided by CJ Sound, a distillery tour from Barrel Factory owner Steve Bystran, and Merchants raffles!
