Merchants Mutual Insurance Company is pleased to announce that Nora K. McGuire has been named to its Board of Directors.
Ms. McGuire, the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Independent Health, began her career as a critical care nurse with Sisters Hospital. During the ensuing years, she steadily increased her work responsibilities in many facets of nursing and health care administration. She served in various director and vice president positions, first with HealthNow of New York, and later Independent Health, joining the latter in 2011.
She serves on the board of several nonprofits, including Horizon Health Services, Buffalo Hospice Foundation, and the Susan G. Komen “Race for the Cure,” among others. Ms. McGuire is a nursing graduate of Sisters Hospital/Canisius College, the Daemen College Nursing Program, and has an MBA from Canisius College. She resides in Tonawanda, New York.
